- Committees – we have four standing committees, Promotions, Economic Development, Organization, and Design.Our Design Committee – oversees all neighborhood beautification, public art, and storefront improvement projects. The Design Committee is responsible for enhancing the physical appearance of the commercial district by rehabilitating historic buildings, encouraging and supporting new construction, and maintaining design standards. As part of its focus, Design also works with other committees to create solutions for the districts safety, trash and traffic issues as well as the maintenance of public infrastructure.Our Economic Development Committee – focuses on improving the economic success of existing businesses, and on recruiting new business to the area that would enhance the business mix of the district. This committee works with the promotions committee to offer workshops, networking, professional development and awareness of resources to help businesses.
Promotions Committee – Markets the commercial district’s assets to customers, potential investors, new businesses, local residents, and visitors. The Promotions committee organizes community events and promotes the neighborhood businesses as a destination for residents and visitors alike. The promotions committee is responsible for promoting the Greater Grove Hall Main Streets brand.
Organization – focuses on the administrative and compliance aspects of the organization and partnerships with other organizations.
Tree lighting – each year we have a tree lighting event in the center of the Grove Hall business district.
Boston Shines – this is an annual opportunity to participate in the cleaning of the neighborhood.
Annual Awards Reception –
Programming – help develop and implement events for the business community.
Board Member – serve on the board
Other Committees are created as necessary
